The places can be visited depending on the time of the arrival and one's ability to start visiting places on the day arrival itself. So, the following places can be visited in 2 days if tight on schedule and more on energy. If stretched to 3 days, can explore at leisure.
1)Night Safari Tour
To experience close encounters with many nocturnal animals of different species, this is must visit. The adventure begins with tribal performance and then will continue to a guided tram Safari Adventure. The tour passes through 7 geographical regions of the world, from the Himalayan Foothills to Equatorial Africa. There is a Creatures of the Night Show after this, which are performed by nocturnal animals. Some may feel filmsy looking at the behavior of anchors, but nonetheless its a nice and interesting tour.
2)Gardens by the Bay
Its rated as the "Top 10 Indoor Gardens of the World", with more 500,000 plants from over 2,200 species. The garden includes, the Flower Dome which is a duplicate of dry Mediterranean type and includes plants from different continents, Cloud Forest, Orchids and world's tallest indoor waterfall.
3)Merlion Statue
The traditional creature which has lion head and body of the fish is one of the most prominent landmarks of Singapore. Its a photo-shoot spot with the beautiful Marina Bay in the backdrop.

Its a popular resort which has world renowned Universal Studios and other attractions such as Marine Life Park, S.E.A Aquarium and Wings of Time laser show.
The cable car journey to the island is spellbound, as it goes over the Sea. The visit to Universal Studios is day long event and so can devote a day for it. In the island, the must visit places are the aquarium, Marine life park, Dolphin show and at evening, Wings of Time Laser show.

5)Universal Studios
The most popular theme park in the world is a must visit for all sects of people as it caters to all. The park is divided into 7 themes, Hollywood, New York, Sc-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away and Madagascar. The 4-D adventure show of Sherk is a different experience all together. My favorite is the Indoor Dark Roller Coaster in Ancient Egypt. Be sure to enter park early to avoid long queues and if possible get an Express Pass.

The travel in metro is the best way to reach places quickly. There are Indian restaurants like Komal Vilas, MTR Restaurant, Punjab Grill, and many more.
